Central Hills Baptist Retreat first opened its doors in June of 1979, when the first camping sessions were conducted for young boys from
Mississippi Baptist Churches. Way back then accommodations consisted only of tents and bath houses, so it was no surprise that CHBR quickly
became a favorite destination for boys all over Mississippi and even in surrounding states.
Since then comfortable, modern lodges that include central heat and air have been added. With these additions, boys, girls, youth and
adults from across Mississippi – and also from Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, and even as far away as Kansas, have spent
meaningful days of their lives at camp.
Today Central Hills Baptist Retreat occupies 722 of the prettiest acres in Mississippi. Being located in the heart of Mississippi,
Central Hills is easily accessible to all Mississippi Baptists.
