Perched above the dramatic shoreline of Lake Superior in Finland, Minnesota, Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center offers a camp experience where adventure, discovery, and learning come together in the heart of the Northwoods.
Spread across 2,000 acres of forest, ridgeline, and inland lakes, the Wolf Ridge campus invites campers to explore miles of scenic trails with sweeping views of the world’s largest freshwater lake. Youth and families search for wildlife tracks, paddle quiet lakes, create art inspired by the natural world, and challenge themselves on ropes courses and climbing walls. At Wolf Ridge, nature itself is the classroom—sparking curiosity, confidence, and a deep sense of wonder.
Guided by a commitment to lifelong learning, Wolf Ridge offers one- and two-week youth camps ranging from classic outdoor experiences to specialized programs and extended wilderness trips to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Isle Royale National Park, and on the Superior Hiking Trail. Family and grandparent–grandchild camps provide a rare chance for generations to learn, explore, and grow together while passing along environmental values and a love for the outdoors.
